Care for the diabetic eye

Diabetic eye is a condition that is common in people who are diabetic. Also known as diabetic retinopathy, diabetic eye is characterized by damage to the tiny blood vessels in the retina caused by poorly controlled blood sugar. Diabetic eye symptoms include floaters, blurred vision, darkened vision and difficulty seeing colors. Diabetic eye can cause blindness and is most common in diabetic age 40 and older. Mild cases should be managed, while severe diabetic eye cases may require surgery or laser treatment. Diabetic eye is not curable, but we can help you manage your symptoms and discomfort.
